Sharon Bodzin has B.A. and M.B.A. in education business. She has been teaching a wide range of classes with Edu-Together, including American Sign Language and Earth & Environmental Science.

Her background is formal and informal education with high school and college students across the United States.

Shannon Connolly has worked in education for over six years after receiving her Bachelor’s in Statistics from the University of California, Davis. She first discovered her love for helping people grasp difficult math concepts as a tutor, working with students aged five to 50 years old! Most recently, she taught Geometry and Algebra 2 at the high school level in the United States. Shannon is passionate about working with students at whatever level of math they need, and helping them find joy in the discipline.

Debbie Eisenberg is Edu-Together's psychology teacher. Originally from New Jersey, Debbie received her BA from Rutgers University and her MA in Social Work from Yeshiva University.

Debbie previously worked as a family therapist and social services director for a large nursing home chain.

Since shifting her focus to education, Debbie has worked with children and has developed several successful youth programs.

Jason Feigen received dual degrees in Literature and Law from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He has years of experience in informal education and a more formal background teaching English with a focus on public speaking and debating.

Jason spends much of his spare time acting in community theatre productions.

Karen Fisher has over 25 years of experience teaching French and Spanish. She has a master’s

degree in French language and literature from Binghamton (NY) University and completed seven

years of PhD level coursework in foreign language education, second language acquisition, and

French literature at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has taught French and

Spanish at the college/university level in New York, North Carolina, and Florida. Additionally,

she taught French for 12 years at the high school level in Florida. She is currently teaching

French, Spanish, English, and US History in a live virtual setting.

Dina Miller Golano is a seasoned educator and professional with B.S. and M.S. degrees in Aeronautical & Aerospace Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and The University of Texas at Austin.

She has taught mathematics, physics, robotics and engineering subjects to elementary, high school and college level students. In addition to her teaching, she has worked in high tech including at NASA, LBL, Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engines and Intel.

Dina has also created an afterschool STEM enrichment program for children in her local community.

Naama Gotesdyner was born in Sunnyvale, CA. Upon graduating high school, she immigrated to Israel and joined the IDF.

She was trained as a Madrichat Chabala (explosives and mine instructor) in the IDF. After finishing her army service, Naama studied psychology at Bar Ilan University. She then returned to the US where she taught Hebrew language at several Jewish day schools.

Yeshaya Gruber teaches history and politics courses. He has a Ph.D. in History from Georgetown University and several years experience as a professor at the college level.

Dr. Gruber is also a researcher at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the co-founder of a translation company called Kol Hakatuv Ltd.

Rivkah Hanssen is an experienced online educator and is one of Edu-Together's longest serving staff memebers. Origianlly from Atlanta, Rivkah uses a variety of teaching tools and platforms to enable her students to become active online learners. Rivkah teaches all levels of ELA and History. She really enjoys teaching online courses, as she is able to work with students from all over the world.

Rabbi Benjamin Hassan grew up in Manchester, England. He has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Salford. Rabbi Hassan has rabbinic ordination from Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg, Rabbi Shlomo Riskin and Yeshivat Hamivtar.

Between 2009 and 2013 Rabbi Hassan taught Judaics in Leibler Yavneh College and was the Rabbi of Sassoon Yehuda Sephardic Synagogue in Melbourne, Australia. In July 2013, Rabbi Hassan became the spiritual leader of Sephardic Bikur Holim Congregation in Seattle, WA. He also taught in Seattle Hebrew Academy and Northwest Yeshiva High School. He served as a Dayan of the Seattle Beit Din and Seattle Vaad. In August of 2024 Rabbi Hassan immigrated to Israel with his family.

Chante’ Hicks received her Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Level Teacher Education in math and science, but her favorite subject is math. After graduation, she was a substitute teacher for her home state and county for grades K-12, different subjects, and different types of students for 2 years. Due to the pandemic, she became a virtual teacher during her last year of substitute teaching for SPED 9th grade students. That was when she learned that she loves virtual teaching. Since then, she has had the desire to teach those who seek help virtually. 

She is the youngest out of 3 siblings and the shortest (6 feet 1). She is also the Vice President of a non-profit organization for the youth with ages ranging from 2-17 years old. She loves to teach, read, solve Sudoku puzzles, listen to music, play games, read, watch tv, and learn new things. She knows that learning is fun, one just has to change their perspective on what learning looks like and how to help students gain confidence, motivation, and a sense of accomplishment. When you have that student-teacher relationship, just know that you have built the foundation of a successful learning environment.

Ms. Diellza Jakupi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Mathematics Department from the University of Mathematics and Science in Prishtina. Recently, she completed an additional semester in Mathematics Education in Budapest and got her credits from St.Olaf College based in Minnesota. During this period she observed different local and international schools at Budapest.

Currently, she is working on her Master's Degree in Advance Teaching at UoPeople based in California.

She is certified for JAVA Fundamentals, following this certification at the beginning of her career she was part of the IT Department at the Public Ministry as an intern. Ms. Jakupi is certified as an International Teacher of English ESOL from Chichester College and also as TESOL/TEFL from the World TESOL Academy. She was part of different educational conferences such as CEESAs summits and WASC Accrediting Commission for Schools Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Ms. Jakupi completed the IB PD in Developing Mathematical Reasoning and implementing the IB MYP Curriculum and also, she completed the IB PD for Mathematics: Analysis and approaches (Cat.1).  Since her third year of university, she taught math to primary and middle school students at private centers. At the same time, she served as a volunteer math teacher for other institutions. Before joining ILG she worked as a Math Teacher and substitute at QSI.

Ms.Jakupi is also certified in accounting and for two years she worked as a Payroll and Project Accountant for UA Builders and We Work Construction based in New York. For nearly five years Ms.Jakupi has run her own math lessons. Currently, she has students from different schools in Prishtina, Germany, and Norway while teaching some of them virtually. Ms.Jakupi also serves on the ILG School Board as the Staff Representative. She loves yoga, playing chess, and photography.

Lauren Jensen has been both an online and classroom teacher in grades 2-12 for her entire career teaching in the areas of mathematics, computer science, STEAM science, technology, and instrumental music. She holds undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Instrumental Music from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Masters in both Mathematics and Professional Development. Lauren also has extensive experience in writing and delivering professional development for teachers in handheld graphing technology. Her hobbies include playing in community jazz/brass ensembles and being an avid DIYer.

Basya Korin has a Chemical and Nuclear Engineering B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin. She has worked in the graduate teaching nuclear reactor in Austin and published research on tumor-detecting radioisotopes, for the DOD and DARPA developing weapons detection systems, and as a systems and reactor engineer at a boiling water nuclear reactor in Massachusetts.

After moving to Miami with her family she taught and headed the science department for 5 years at a girls’ Torah academy middle and high school. Basya spearheaded the introduction of student-based and project-based learning techniques and their first AP program.

Basya and her family moved to Israel in 2018 and she is passionate about introducing STEM ideas and projects through extracurricular camps and activities to the elementary girls in her neighborhood.

Basya loves anything outdoors, exercise, playing piano, and woodworking. Basya believes that learning should be enjoyable and that developing critical thinking and executive functioning skills goes hand in hand with learning calculus and stoichiometry.

Shachar Livnat born in Israel, and has always enjoyed working with technology.

He graduated from Ben Gurion University with a BS degree in industrial and management and then continued to earn his MBA from Tel Aviv Jaffo College. 

Shachar is and experienced product & project manager, and has worked with several successful in mobile startup products. He has always enjoyed teaching and is happy that Edu-Together provides him with a flexible academic schedule.

Mrs. Chanie Loew has over twenty years of experience teaching lower school, middle school, and high school grades, both Judaic and general studies. She has taught in a variety of schools, including Yeshiva Shaarei Tzion in Piscataway, NJ, Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva in Edison, NJ, Northwest Yeshiva High School in Seattle, WA and Sigel Hebrew Academy in West Hartford, CT. She also enjoys being a member of the education and nature staff at Camp Kaylie during the summers. Mrs. Loew grew up in Brooklyn, NY. She attended Michlalah Jerusalem College for Women for two years and was an assistant teacher there for a third. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Touro College and has also had extensive experience working with children with special needs. She loves to teach and cares for her students like her own children.

Rabbi Gershon Steinberg, MSW, L-CSW, has been in the field of education for more than thirty years.

He enjoys teaching a variety of subjects, including Hebrew, Judaic Studies, English and ASL.

His teaching style allows students to learn the material and incorporate it into their own lives, while having fun in the process.

Dr. Ruchama Steinberg earned her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Over the course of her academic career, she has taught and tutored English and Science at the highschool, undergraduate, and graduate levels, in addition to lecturing extensively on the topic of Mental Health in her role as Co-Founder and Executive Director of Dragonfly Mental Health. Her love of learning is an integral part of her teaching style and she strives to ignite those seeds of passionate curiosity in her students as well.

Elaine Steinberg is a math teacher with over 15 years of experience tutoring and teaching a variety of grade levels. She received her BA in mathematics from Yeshiva University and taught in NYC in both public and private education. After moving to Israel in 2011, she has taught and tutored high school math in Jerusalem and Bet Shemesh. She particularly enjoys making math both applicable and understandable to every student, and firmly believes every student is capable of succeeding! When not busy teaching, she can usually be found cooking, reading, or carpooling her kids from place to place.

Henna Storch has always enjoyed both learning and teaching Judaic studies and Hebrew. A New York native, Henna currently lives in Israel and is a graduate student at Bar Ilan University.

Rachel Lorch is originally from Cincinnati, OH. She trained as a teacher at Indiana University and taught in public schools in New Orleans before moving to Israel. She currently teaches in the Israeli school system as well as for US schools online through Edu-Together.

Rachel teaches all ages from elementary to 12th grade and is absolutely passionate about teaching.

Tzippy Wecker resides in Baltimore, Maryland. After teaching in New York City Public Schools and Philadelphia Charter Schools, she has been teaching at a local private school in Baltimore for over ten years. She holds a B.A., an M.A., and public school certification in three states. She enjoys playing many different musical instruments as well as helping students of all levels and abilities overcome math fears and build confidence.

Asher Zeiger grew up in North Carolina. He is married and has two teenage daughters, yet has managed to maintain a little bit of sanity and a lot of humor. He has a B.A. from Bar Ilan University in Tanach, which he uses as a basis to classes to students of all ages. He also tutors both children and adults in a veriety of Hebrew and Judaic Studies topics.
